These amazing photographs of the pelvis are from Paul Grilley website. These images are so helpful to look at client's movement and guide them for the best coordination and range of the individual's movement.
These are left hip socket of two pelvis. The socket of left image is pointed forward and down, and the socket of right image is pointed sideways and close to almost horizontal.
These two hip sockets are pointing different directions. Therefore the range of motion in the socket in different directions will be different.
Hip sockets on right image are not visible from the front view, because they are oriented out to the sides and left image is more forward.
